Test type: Live paper observation
Weekly research target: +5R net per week

Why This Version Was Created

EURGBP V4.1.27 was created after the EURGBP V4.26 confirmation week failed.

During ISO Week 26, EURGBP V4.26 closed 40 paper trades and finished the week at -8.8269R. The weekly research target was +5R, so the target was not achieved.

This failure did not remove EURGBP V4 from the research programme. Instead, it showed that the V4 Control structure needed an additional logic test before any demo-stage decision.

The purpose of V4.1.27 is to test whether the weak Week 26 behaviour can be improved by allowing a controlled second paper position only in the opposite direction.

Core Idea

The main idea of EURGBP V4.1.27 is simple:

Keep the EURGBP V4 corridor foundation, but allow a second paper position only when it is in the opposite direction to the first open paper position.

This means that the robot is not allowed to stack multiple positions in the same direction. The second slot is used only as a controlled opposite-direction test.

What Remains the Same

EURGBP V4.1.27 keeps the main EURGBP V4 Control foundation.

The test remains based on EURGBP M5 corridor behaviour and live paper observation.

The system remains paper-only.

No real orders are allowed.

The weekly research target remains +5R net per week.

What Changes in V4.1.27

The main change is the introduction of an opposite second-slot structure.

Maximum paper positions: 2
First paper position: allowed by the existing V4 Control logic
Second paper position: allowed only in the opposite direction
Same-direction second position: blocked
Real-money orders: disabled
Mode: PAPER_SIM_ONLY
Orders sent: NO

For example, if a BUY paper position is already open, the system may only test a second SELL paper position if the V4.1.27 logic allows it.

If a SELL paper position is already open, the system may only test a second BUY paper position if the V4.1.27 logic allows it.

The purpose is not to increase exposure aggressively. The purpose is to test whether opposite-direction participation can reduce the weakness observed during Week 26.

What This Version Is Testing

EURGBP V4.1.27 tests whether the V4 corridor structure performs better when it is not restricted to a single active paper position.

The key research question is:

Can a controlled opposite-direction second slot improve the weekly balance path after a failed V4.26 confirmation week?

The test will be evaluated using the same research metrics:

Final weekly net R
Closed paper trades
TP count
SL count
MAX_HOLD count
Realised balance path
Maximum realised peak
Maximum realised drawdown
Direction and corridor-type contribution
Orders sent status

Safety Rules

EURGBP V4.1.27 is a paper-only research version.

Mode: PAPER_SIM_ONLY
Orders sent: NO
Real-money execution: Disabled
Purpose: Live paper research only

This version must not send live orders. The result will be used only to evaluate whether the opposite second-slot logic deserves further observation.

Success Criteria

The main weekly success criterion remains:

+5R net per week or higher

A strong result would require more than a positive final number. The balance path should also be acceptable.

The test will be reviewed using:

Final net R
Maximum realised drawdown
Exit distribution
Direction and corridor-type performance
Whether the opposite second slot improved or damaged the week

Failure Criteria

EURGBP V4.1.27 will be treated as weak if it fails to improve the Week 26 behaviour.

Important failure signs include:

A final weekly result below 0R
A drawdown that is too deep for a demo candidate
A high SL count
A weak or unstable balance path
Second-slot trades that add more damage than protection

If the opposite second-slot structure does not improve the result, it will not be treated as a successful upgrade.

Research Note

EURGBP V4.1.27 was not created to hide the failed V4.26 week.

It was created because the failed week produced useful research information.

The failed week is part of the research record. The next version exists because the system is being tested, adjusted, and reviewed step by step.

This is the purpose of the FX Trading Robot Lab research process:

observe the robot, measure the result, identify weakness, create a controlled test version, and review the next live paper outcome.

Next Report

EURGBP V4.1.27 starts from 2026-06-29.

The result will be reviewed in the next weekly report after the Week 27 live paper observation period is complete.
