The main research finding was found somewhere else.

Plus and Minus Trade Audit

After the weekly result was reviewed, the next question was:

Why did some trades win and other trades lose if the base entry logic was the same?

The audit compared positive and negative trades without using trading hours or weekdays as the main explanation.

The goal was to find an additional condition that was present in many positive trades and absent in many negative trades, or the opposite.

The strongest difference was found in the M5 candle body direction at the time of entry.

Main Finding: M5 Directional Body

The most important Week 27 finding was:

Losing trades were strongly concentrated in entries where the M5 candle body was against the candidate trade direction.

The test condition was:

Block the trade if the current M5 candle body is against the entry direction.

For BUY candidates:

The M5 candle should not be bearish against the BUY entry.

For SELL candidates:

The M5 candle should not be bullish against the SELL entry.

In simpler terms:

The base corridor signal may still exist, but the current M5 candle must not be moving against the planned trade.

This blocked group explains most of the weakness in the raw V4.1.27 result.

The filter removed a group that was strongly negative overall.

This is why the historical result improved from:

Why This Finding Matters

This is a useful research finding because the condition is known before entry.

It does not use the final result of the trade.

It does not use future price movement.

It does not change the core V4.1 entry logic.

It only asks whether the current M5 candle body supports or rejects the candidate trade direction.

This makes it suitable for a controlled forward paper test.

Decision After Week 27

EURGBP V4.1.27 is not moved to demo stage.

The raw version did not reach the +5R weekly target.

However, the Week 27 audit produced a strong additional filter candidate.

The decision is to create EURGBP V4.1.28.

EURGBP V4.1.28 is not a new major version.

The trade is blocked if the M5 candle body is bullish against the SELL direction.

Block reason:

M5_DIRECTIONAL_BODY_AGAINST_ENTRY

The purpose is to avoid entries where the base corridor logic gives a signal, but the current M5 candle body is moving against that signal.

Why Only One Filter Was Added

Only one filter was added because the purpose of Week 28 is to test the specific Week 27 finding.

Other possible filters were observed, including M15 context and candle close location, but they were not added to V4.1.28.

Adding too many filters at once would make it difficult to know which change caused the result.

EURGBP V4.1.28 is therefore a controlled test version.

The base logic remains unchanged.

Only the M5 directional body filter is added.

Week 28 Research Task

The Week 28 task is to test whether the M5 body filter works in forward live paper observation.

The key questions are:

Can V4.1.28 reduce Gross -R compared with V4.1.27?
Can V4.1.28 keep enough Gross +R after filtering?
Can V4.1.28 reach +5R net during Week 28?
How many signals are blocked by M5_DIRECTIONAL_BODY_AGAINST_ENTRY?
Does the filter remove mainly bad trades or does it also remove too many good trades?

Success Criteria for V4.1.28

EURGBP V4.1.28 will be treated as a strong candidate if it reaches:

+5R net per week or higher

A strong result should also show:

Acceptable trade count
Reduced SL count
A stable realised balance path
No live orders sent

The filter does not need to produce the exact historical result of +9.8401R. That result was based on Week 27 history.

The Week 28 test is a forward paper test.

Failure Criteria for V4.1.28

EURGBP V4.1.28 will be treated as weak if:

The final weekly result is below 0R
The filter removes too much Gross +R
The Gross -R remains too high
The SL count remains high
The trade count becomes too low to evaluate
The balance path becomes unstable

If V4.1.28 fails, the M5 body filter will not be accepted as a confirmed upgrade.

Research Note

EURGBP V4.1.27 did not pass the weekly target.

However, the week was still useful because it showed a repeatable weakness pattern.
